Many compare lake Garda to the Toscana - because of the landscape and the production of delicious wines. Others do not know that famous wines like Amarone, Valpolicella, Lugana, Bardolino and Soave are produced here at maximum quality.

Mountaineers and fans of the mountains

Mountaineers will find their paradise in the Brenta-Mountains. People loving nature and silence, walk through the Valentesi in Manerba, where wine and olive-oil are produced and where bustle is far away. In the little villages in the mountains time seems to stand still - which is good for their inhabitants: these people statistically have the highest life expectancy in whole Italy.

"La dolce vita"

Others visit lake Garda just because of its vitality and in order to celebrate. Good food and good wines – the regional cousine is world famous. And for those who do not like to go to bed at night, there are a lot of amenities. Take a walk on the promenade at sunset, have a cappuccino in a beachbar, enjoy good music in a pianobar or celebrate in a disco-club until sunrise.

Windsurfing

Especially in this northern region of lake Garda there is always a constant breeze. The area between Torbole, Limone and Malcesine is usually full of windsurfers, who treat Lake Garda the European windsurfing capital. Of course, these are not the only spots suitable for windsurfing. A bit to the south, villages of Tremosine and Tignale are also often chosen by the windsurfers. Hiring equipment or arranging windsurfing lessons is just a case of minutes, so everyone can have great time on water.
